  January 21, 2023 - Deep garnet with a rusty rim. Lots of raspberry preserves immediately on the nose. Dark chocolate, and spice follow. Palate adds coffee, sweet oak, raisin, and black pepper. Very Napa, but some complexity there. Peak drinking.

  April 16, 2021 - Dark Ruby fading to dark pink with a watery rim. Blueberry/boysenberry and vanilla on the nose. Full mouthfeel with grippy tannins, that coat the gumbs and mediuim-low acidity. Medium-long aftertaste with a touch of astringency. Not my cup of tea, but well made. If Cali zins are your thing, I hope you enjoy it. The alcohol is "only" 14.5%, so there's that. Better than a year ago. Drink now or hold up through 2024.

  September 17, 2020 - really good, dark cherry and a hint of spice. Touch of dust and tannins. Fairly dry.

  August 28, 2020 - Excellent QPR on this Napa Zin. A sturdy wine that, unlike many Napa reds, is not overly oaked.
