July 12, 2021 - There is some confusion in the labelling and the CT naming conventions that I could not resolve on the company's website because I couldn't find the company's website. This did not say Ca Merlo on the label, so who knows.

This was a really good wine with a beautiful nose and a very complex palate. The nose was floral with just a whiff of citrus. The palate tasted tropical - very sauvignon blanc-ish - but there was a lot going on. Guava, a hint of pineapple, some tart apple, lemon curd and minerals. Very enjoyable. This is a wine that would go very well with seared scallops. We drank it with what I think was cold smoked or lightly cured butterfish from a Russian deli as an appetizer.

March 28, 2021 - Very good. PnP enjoyed over 2 nights, both showed equally well if for slightly different prominent features. Served double-blind to a good friend, Garganega was the first variety guessed, and after that, the blend was proved, as it should, too hard to pin down from there. Some linen, chamomile, white flowers, a touch of quince and even a note or two of wool. Medium>Medium+ body, with great length. This is in, for my palate preferences, its preferred window; now and the next 4-5 years depending on your cellar and tastes. Still very fresh. 12,5% abv. highly recommended

March 26, 2021 - Served double blind. Light golden color with medium viscosity; no signs of sediment or gas. On the nose, a complex mix of stone fruits, melon, citrus, some tropical fruits. On the palate, more stone fruits, melon, citrus and nondescript tropical fruits, lanolin, wet rock…maybe Chenin(??) but I don’t get white flowers on the nose. Whatever, this is, it’s delicious. Fresh and long with lovely minerality and fit body, medium acid…a wine of texture. I was stumped. I went with a recent vintage of Chenin from a non-traditional region though I didn't like my pick and I wondered out loud if it could be Garganega. Low and behold, it was a blend of Garganega, Trebbiano Toscano, Sauvignon Bianco, Chardonnay, Saorin. No wonder I was so flummoxed. Who cares, this is awesome and I want more of this in my life!

February 2, 2021 - Aerated to water pitcher for two hours, re-corked, served four hours later, and it drank well for the 3 hours we had it open after that. No sign of age though the palate and aromas suggest this is firmly in its preferred zone. Delicate medium-body, with some white flowers, jasmine and linen notes. The palate was just a touch too warm for my liking, but it proved a solid partner to a variety of appetizers thanks to its purity and fresh acidity. I have two more, and after this experience, I think I'll open them within the coming two-three years. 12,5% abv., held since release. recommended
