Community Tasting Notes 4

December 22, 2023 - Starts impressively enough, with a beautiful Cabernet-dominated nose. Initial sips also featured some classy Cabernet Sauvignon fruit. But as it evolved in the glass, the Carmenere asserted itself. Instead of adding structure, its intense iron ore flavor took most of the pleasure away. I put the rest of the bottle away for the night, but on the next it started the the way the previous one ended. The rest is destined for a sauce. Disappointing, especially given the price point.

June 29, 2021 - Great clean almost slightly floral nose with slight earthy tone, cherry and elegant finish. Love it

February 12, 2018 - Wonderful blend. The colour and the nose is fantastic, deep and intriguing. The Carmenere add a smooth velvety chocolate finish and the Cabernet keeps you coming back for more with the structure and dark red fruits. Long and smooth finish this was fantastic. 12-14 months in French oak, 70% new. Blend of 50% Cab Sauvignon and 50% Carmenere

October 18, 2017 - No 20, medium ruby, over ripe fruit and saltiness. Wet leaves in the finish.
