April 14, 2020 - A positive surprise this. Left alone in the cellar as these wines need time and I've struggled to enjoy the 04's with their green aromas.
This one is developing on the nose, still green herbs and a minty balsamic tone, but more complex with forest floor, hint leather. Fine, mouthcoating tannins as expected from this producer (would have guessed Pommard if blind). With air the fruit comes more forward and it feels much more in place than for ten years ago.

August 11, 2017 - Drinking well above its class. Austere but balanced, no hint of the "greenies." Very pure and focused...no rush to drink this one.

August 30, 2014 - Good colour, decent nose, with the expected Volnay allure; but.....on the palate, a let down. Foursquare, solid, coarse tannins. Drying out, time post pulling the cork & in the glass did not help. Drink up.

February 23, 2013 - Yeah! Drinking great. Persistent red fruit with great cut. Forward and aromatic right out of the gate so I think I opened this one right in its wheelhouse. Wish I had more...

January 29, 2013 - Drank over two days. Tight on day one via the Venturi. Light and a bit fruity for me at first with a touch of menthol. Day 2 is where this came together for me. Better balance and the touch of heat from the open was sorted out finally.
