  January 22, 2018 - Straight out of the bottle tasting.. it was Hot, peppery and tannic. Let it sit for 30 mins before drinking. This is at least a 2 to 3 hour decant. Mellowed over an hour.
  Ran through an aerator.
  Nose developed into a great dark berry aroma with heavy tannins. Peppery and tannic with a nice finish.
  This is a big bold wine that can sit for a few more years.

  August 6, 2013 - Peppery , hints of nutmeg & spices, black licorice finish , does get better as it breathes, a little tart, nice tannins, enjoyed very much
