December 22, 2023 - Savory, tobacco, tannins. Deep purple, a little tomato leaf. Rich, well rounded, strong acid-tannin balance, wants something equally rich: bolognese, lasagna with bechemel,

November 8, 2023 - 50% Zinfandel, 50% field blend including all sorts of varieties - Petit Sirah, Carignan, Mataro, Alicante Bouschet and Mission. Decanted for an hour.

This wine is ALL about the berries, with a little backup from warm spices. Cocoa beans, ripe (black?) raspberry, ripe boysenberry, ripe huckleberry, ripe black cherry, dried figs/dates, cinnamon and allspice on the nose. Intensity of aromas is medium +. The palate adds a sour note, although the flavors are pretty consistent with the aromas. It's as if the same fruits from the nose are tart and sour. Not jammy at all.

Medium + body with medium + acid and low, soft tannin. Excellent pairing with wild boar ragu. Drink now with a decant; but I don't see it declining at ALL over the next 2-3 years.

October 16, 2023 - Nose of black cherry, black berry, and allspice, same on the palate, big body, very tasty, at peak, suggest you enjoy over the next 4 years, now, mouth filling fruit, sweet and rich fruit, plus a long, flavorful finish.

September 30, 2023 - Not as expressive as I had hoped, but still a delicious wine. Red fruit, licorice, herbs, pepper, and Sonoma dust on the nose. Medium to full-bodied with acidity and tannins in balance. So long on the finish with tastes mirroring those on the nose. On day 2, this was just as tight and not wanting to let go of it's secrets. I'd give it another 2-3 years before it hits full stride.
