November 23, 2023 - Decent syrah. Some forward sharpness with significant pepper. Fruit is second to those. Tannins already softened after 7 years. Not much sediment. Overall, good, but I don't understand why some famous reviewers liked it so much. I'll see what happens after a day or two of air.

May 29, 2020 - 3. Medium purple color. Distinct aroma of freshly grounded black pepper (but not much else). Dry, soft acidity, mouth-coating tannins, taste of blackcurrant and black pepper. Medium full body and finish. Opened too young. Guess NZ Syrah blend 2017. 88 (5/6). Result NZ Syrah Trinity Hills Homage 2016. BOOMZ!
