May 30, 2023 - Spectacular wine - those 94 ZH SGNs never disappoint, and this wine was in great condition despite a rather gunky label and cork (the latter fully soaked and showing signs of leakage). An array of tropical and citrus fruits drenched in orange marmalade and botrytised honey/spicy notes, all conveyed with perfect balance. The palate presence is stunning - this feels remarkably polished and almost weightless in the mouth. Glad I have one more.

May 30, 2023 - 1992 Dönnhoff, 1990 Giacosa SSR, 1994 ZH SGN (Chez V): [Pop and pour. Brought by Salil.] Wow! Heavenly nose of honey, orange peel, and a hint of brown sugar. Amber color. Glorious in the mouth. Sweet, but so balanced and harmonious. Super long, expansive finish of kumquats, tart sweet oranges, apricots, and heaven.

September 11, 2022 - Noticed a bit of seepage, so decided to open the bottle. Prior seepage on another side of the cork as well, even though the fill is good. Hmm. A very fine sticky, but lacking the fireworks I was expecting based on other notes. Maybe not an entirely correct bottle? Plenty of botrytis, unctuous, and could use a hair more acid to be truly balanced. Apricot, apricot caramel, and beeswax. Maybe a touch of brininess. Not getting the kaleidoscope of layers here.

February 15, 2018 - Wow. This stuff is delicious. Aromas of tropical fruits, honey, and botrytis. Dense flavors of wildflower honey, pineapple syrup, preserved stone fruits, and citrus. The wine has a super full, syrupy body but is balanced by a zinging acidity that really elevates the wine. Worth every penny in my book

December 26, 2016 - Somewhat disappointing compared to prior bottle. Seemed thin and not as sweet. Good amount of botrytis.
