March 3, 2024 - 2nd of 6. Similar presentation as my last bottle. Elegant and fairly balanced, but the 15% hit me a bit harder this time. The fruit is fresh and delicious and has pretty good persistency. The nose is lovely. 92-93.

January 29, 2023 - Dark fruits, leather, licorice and herbs. Medium plus intensity on the nose. Silky smooth tannins that are mostly resolved. Nice balance. Drinking great.

January 8, 2023 - This is remarkably balanced despite its 15% abv. The fruit is quite ripe, but not overripe imo. The acidity is just lovely and the tannins are very fine and full - lingering on the long finish, but not drying things out. This drinks beautifully already, but should last a bit if you prefer to wait. Drink now through 2031.

April 29, 2022 - 4 hour decant. Then 2 hours air for dinner. Blackened steak for dinner. Awesome food pairing. Tannins very well integrated. Medium to full bodied. Fruit/floral(violet) components very prominent. Still singing at 6 hour mark. Better than the 2016 Habemus Papum (this time). I keep flip flopping which one is better. I have to go get more of this. Highly recommeded.

April 16, 2022 - Rich, delicious black raspberry fruit with lavander and mushroom flavors, excellent structure, still closed and tightly integrated, elegant, needs 5 more years of age, ample finish
