June 26, 2009 - Smells like reduced black cherry juice with a little bit of white pepper. Loads of cherry and raspberry fill the palate with gentle vanilla through the mid-palate. Very soft tannins on the finish. There is a slight tobacco taste mixed with dried red fruit. This is an interesting, well-made wine. It seems young up front yet fully aged on the finish. It is tough to say how it will age from here. I'd drink it soon.

August 15, 2007 - First impressions - don't drink this too quickly. It still has room to grow. Inital scents of black cherries gave way to a more sophistocated leather, pine and smoke and an occasional fountain cola wafted by. The flavors took a bit longer to open up with the black cherries (sometime Ludens like) hitting right up front. This wine was made to accompany a meal not to be the main course. As a supporting actor it is a fine choice for dinner with no disappointments. However, drink it too quickly and you might miss the subtle show. --- Note from following day... The cola cherry flavors solidly there followed by smoke -- still a few years left; DAY 3 48 hours later What a lovely way to finish a wine... All of the flavors settled into a gentle and perfect balance. The mouthfeel was silky and long... milder fruit with hints of tobacco and earth with only a touch of cola and spice. Very nice. This one has longer legs than originally thought!

November 22, 2006 - A very solid PN but not a memorable bottle of wine. Still we drank it quickly and at a young age. Still, it's not a wine that we would buy again given what others are producing and even others by Moshin.
