January 31, 2024 - (Im Restaurant getrunken, daher Kurznotiz)
In der Nase eher dunkle Kirsche und Kräuter, dazu sehr schön eingebundenes, dezentes Holz. Insgesamt sehr zurückhaltend, der Wein braucht im Moment reichlich Luft und hätte hier eine Karaffe gut vertragen.
Am Gaumen mit mächtigem Säurezug, auch noch sehr kompakt. Sehr guter Tanningriff, dazu stetig in Veränderung mit Luft und sehr positiver Entwicklung.
Recht lang und nachhaltig. Das hat noch reichlich Potenzial.

December 31, 2023 - 1 1/2 hour decant (mag decanter). Nose: Lots of wood/oak aromas with some earth. Quite rustic. Palate: Very oaky and not much fruit. From my past experience with this BdM from other vintages I don’t feel this bottle, while drinkable, was fully representative. Hence no score given.
