February 12, 2023 - Medium ruby with very faint signs of age. Bouquet of raspberries, tobacco, and hints of forest floor. Cherries, raspberries, and a hint of rose on the palate. Acid and fruit in good balance, with not much tannin left at this point. Medium- finish. Not as complex as one might expect from this storied producer, and perhaps near the end of its drinking window.

September 22, 2019 - Maybe it's just me, but this seemed less structured than the prior bottle, as if that one was full on declassified SV lots and this one was the standard young vines, etc. for this release. Still good, just seemed to have less stuffing and higher acidity.
