January 30, 2010 - Color shows a bit of brick, somewhat subdued aroma with dark cherry and some sugar. Not much spice, and not very tannic. Impression of extreme reserve, or perhaps just past its prime.

September 11, 2009 - Still drinkable. Not very tannic. May be past its peak. Less longevity than I thought. But still flavourful. Half bottle. No breathing time. Good (83.5).

August 22, 2008 - Freaky! A year to the day since I last tried this wine. Apart from being a cracking wine what did standout was a belief that the wine wouldn't be a long keeper. One year down the track proves to my tastes that this vintage is best drunk as a 2yr to 3yr old. Dark cherries and bitter notes to smell and, conversely, a mildly funky sweeter edge as well. Mostly follows up "as smelt" in the mouth although the intensity steps down a gear. More spice comes into play as the cherry notes fade out. Sometimes there's nothing wrong with a wine that drinks really well as a youngster.

May 4, 2008 - solid pinot near or at its prime. not big enough to merit much more cellar time. wish I had bought more as this was rather enjoyable sipping wine with good qpr
