Community Tasting Notes 15

May 15, 2022 - Just entering its meaty and savory prime, this still quite fresh, and will improve for at least another 5 years. Aromas of red and black fruits, olives, cured meat, dried flowers, a little ketchup and black pepper. Super elegant Syrah here, tart and lively on the palate, tannins are fine and getting close to resolution, great inner perfume of flowers, stewed meat and tart berries. Tangy and savory on the finish.

December 31, 2021 - Nose is earthy, has some violet, black olive, pepper, and smoke, but on the palate you have more juicy blueberry and blackberry than the nose suggests. Fresh, juicy, mineral, at a great point.

March 31, 2021 - Gang of 4 in Covid19 times; Northern Rhone (@ RW): Juicy fruits in the bouquet, plums. Same on the palate, good acidity, a firm amount of bitterness, ripe red berries. Still quite youthful.

February 14, 2021 - Just some real good, true Syrah. Great balance

September 8, 2019 - This wine has evolved/matured significantly since we last tasted it 1.5 years ago.
It has a assertive nose, with aromas of boysenberry, bacon fat, game and some sage. On the palate, it has a medium body, with plenty of fruit that includes boysenberry, sour cherry, and blueberry, with black olive, fermented mushrooms and white pepper on the finish. It has med+ acidity, with mild tannins. On the whole, a very drink-able, lighter style northern Rhone.
