Community Tasting Notes 12

April 21, 2024 - Aroma of cooked fruits, chocolate, perhaps some mint / garrigue. Gentle tannins, nicely balanced acidity. Delicious with mixed grill of chicken, beef and vegetables. Not over the hill, but perhaps time to pop one if you still have one.

March 23, 2023 - Very active nose but a little too hot(alcoho?) with advance color. Still some tanins and fruit present, but I drink up if you have some.

July 14, 2021 - Extremely rich, dominant caramel and ripe stewed fruits, definitely indicative of the hot year. Took a while to open up, very big wine.

June 13, 2018 - Monthly Tasting Group HWS #130; France, Southern Rhone (By me): Special and mature bouquet with spices like rosemary, leather and some celery. On the palate a firm amount of sweetness, chocolate, sweet licorice, nuts, figs, plums and some celery. A beautiful and mature wine with some beautiful tertiary impressions. Don’t wait much longer I would say if this bottle is exemplary.

May 30, 2017 - Pronounced mature feeling. Fascinating complex nose with many faces that changes multiple times during 4 hours. Unlike any C9dP I tasted before. Nose with endless layers, wood, vanilla. caramel, fudge, juniper berry, herbs, coffee, blueberry, brown sugar, soil, bouillon, prunes, chocolate and hints of port wine. Soft and smooth palate, creamy, fudge, silky but persistent tannins, nice acidity. Tasted blind, had this in Italy. Recommended 93p
