January 27, 2024 - Very enjoyable, quiet on the nose but in a good spot at this age, dry and dusty and earthy but with enough acid to have a deliver a pleasing experience.

October 28, 2023 - POW! After a three hour decant, this wine pops you in the face. Hard to believe this is mostly Sangiovese based on the sheer power and concentration. There is a tightly wound ball of energy in this wine and I cannot put my finger on it. Atypical for Sangiovese. Almost exotic with its expression. Could it be the small amount of Malvasia Nera that provides its signature punch? Nevertheless, this is a powerful wine.

September 19, 2023 - A beast of a wine. Somewhat disjointed at this stage. Would benefit with more bottle age or a lengthy decant.

September 2, 2023 - See previous notes. Cherry, camphor, minerality.
