November 26, 2023 - Pale ruby. Pronounced aromas of toast, red cherry, plum, mushroom, forest floor, rose petal, black tea, bay leaf. Medium body, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium powdery tannins, long finish. Intensity and finish are fabulous and wine is developing and well balanced. Beautiful burgundy. The wine is already entering its drinking window imo but it has a long life ahead.

    July 18, 2023 - Clear scarlet ruby
    Rather pungent earthy strawberry flavor.
Quite ripe fruit on this broad shouldered wine with big tannins in the finish, quite tasty now and quite impressive size.
    Hold

March 3, 2023 - The Verticals Tasting at 2023 La Paulée (Eventi Hotel, New York): Magnum. Deeper red. Black fruit and soil in terrific balance. Much more tannic and closed than the 2017 with more structured, less supple mouth feel. Excellent.

    December 9, 2022 - From double magnum

Bright aromas of dark black cherry, blue fruit, and artsy forest, and framed by charred wood. Big wine with deep concentration, bold and structured with the potential to improve mightily with time. Delicious but way too young; likely improved w proper decant

September 4, 2022 - Rich and heady, big savory ripe black fruit balanced by a good spine of acid and grippy tannins. More savory-salty-soy than the strawberry fruit of 14 months ago-seems like its losing some baby fat, and starting to dry out a bit, though this is still a big wine.
Enjoyable now, but I'm going to wait till 2025 or so to check in on another one.
