January 22, 2022 - A lovely wine. Deep garnet and velvety. High alcohol, but not high acid. Well integrated. Stewed prunes. Pairs well with Italian sausage and red pepper flakes. A wine of substance.

December 26, 2020 - Ripe red berries on the nose with some damson flowers. Silky and full bodied with some light chocolate and aniseed notes on the palate. Really interesting old vine garnacha, but definitely on the heavy side.

August 11, 2020 - Light ruby hue with medium-high saturation. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, blueberry, cherry, pepper, raspberry, sage, toast, and vanilla. Medium body; ripe, medium-plus tannins; and medium-plus acidity. Pronounced on the nose, while velvety and plush on the palate, with medium-plus length on the finish. Dangerously drinkable at 15.5% ABV.

February 17, 2020 - Medium body, medium+ acidity, dark purple/red fruit, under growth. Well put together.

    August 15, 2019 - WIML91

    Tasted double blind.

Garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of blue fruit, pepper and a hint of balsamic. Flavors of raspberries and berries and hint of cherries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink over the short to medium term.

My guess was a Spanish Garnacha from the 2015 vintage. Ranked 2 out of 4 in this flight. Nailed it.
