May 13, 2024 - Excellent wine after being opened and left for day. This wine was more accessible /open in it,s first few years it may be exhibiting some shut down at this point. Decanting will help release it,s wonderful flavours.

March 28, 2024 - Raspberry, morello cherry, mushrooms, earthy notes, and hints of graphite. Lovely and balanced — drinks very well already now, and will be exciting to follow in the coming years.

December 10, 2023 - This wine keeps impressing me. It,s consistently well made by Drouhin. It seems to be rated at around 90-92 by most reviews on CT.
All I can say is this is drinking better and is improving with each bottle I open. I firmly believe if I tuck a few of these away and re visit this wine in 5years plus the rating will be higher. This just has all the elements ( tannins ,fruit and acidity) in my mind to age well with benefits in flavour and elegance. We will see! The overall quality of Beaune 1er Cru,s are getting better and more prominent producers are gaining a position in these vineyards. Prices will continue to go higher.
