October 29, 2023 - Consistent with previous bottles. Great balance, fairly rich, really good finish. Extremely polished and refined for a zin. Tannins are mostly gone, so it wouldn't be a good match with grilled steaks, pizza, or other really hearty foods. However, it's still great by itself or with less robust foods (cheeses, pulled pork, etc.). Probably about time to drink up.

June 21, 2023 - Consistent with a bottle ten months ago. Beautiful, refined balance. Fairly rich, but not at all "heavy". Terrific nose and finish. Probably good for another year, but not much more.

December 20, 2022 - Purple in color. 15% ABV. Sublime nose of red fruits, peach and licorice. Medium body with perfect acidity. Lush and elegant with impeccable balance. Strawberry, cherry, raspberry liqueur and pepper on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish. Super Zinfandel that seems to pick up weight and structure with time in the glass. Like most Zins from Joel Peterson this should age well. Best over the next 3-4 years.

December 5, 2022 - Decanted for an hour before serving. The wine hit its stride on glass two so I would say decant for 1.5 hours if possible. I expected a high-alcohol fruit forward experience provided the varietal and AVA but I was totally wrong - mellow, understated, layered and balanced. QPR at $40ish is solid and I would buy again for sure.
