June 21, 2009 - A very fine rendition of Chard from an important vyd in the Santa Ynes area. Balanced, not overly-buttery, fine fruit gleaming thru but balanced well with an acid backbone. Of course I wish I had more. Gifted from the winemaker, along with Brian's Keefer Chard from the same vintage...I'd be hard-pressed to say which I liked better.

September 22, 2008 - Drank side by side with the 05 Clos Pepe Estate Chard and this had noticably more oak on the nose to me - creamy vanilla and butter along with some nice limstone and strawberry. Oak was not as noticable on the palate, with some nice sweet pears and peach notes and a smooth finish. Just lacked a touch of the verve and acidity of the Clos Pepe estate.
