January 9, 2024 - Young vibrant wine with a lovely nose of red raspberries, chocolate, and pomegranate. It has a short finish and is not very concentrated. Good value given its cost and this will be a crowd pleaser among Burgundy initiates.

No flaws or jagged edges. Smooth. This was a bit flat even though there is some nice fruit - dark cherry, ripe dark fruits - and a autumnal earthy core. It just never grabbed my attention and was overall a disappointment. I've got another bottle. Maybe wait a couple more years?

Medium (+) taste of wild ripe raspberry, ripe black cherry, forest floor, vanilla, wet leaves licorice, mushrooms and black pepper. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium (-) tannins. Medium body. A very good and well matured Mercurey 1er Cru that could easily be mistaken for a more expensive Burgundy Pinot Noir. Needed an hour to open.
