January 9, 2024 - Young vibrant wine with a lovely nose of red raspberries, chocolate, and pomegranate. It has a short finish and is not very concentrated. Good value given its cost and this will be a crowd pleaser among Burgundy initiates.

    October 18, 2023 - Very Good(-)
No flaws or jagged edges. Smooth. This was a bit flat even though there is some nice fruit - dark cherry, ripe dark fruits - and a autumnal earthy core. It just never grabbed my attention and was overall a disappointment. I've got another bottle. Maybe wait a couple more years?

March 13, 2023 - Elegant, dense core. Little porcini, emphasizes floral overtones. Enjoy.

October 1, 2022 - A 375 that was redolent with stewed, over ripe fruit and generally undrinkable. Poor quality control even with the Burgundian tendency to dump lesser juice into their half bottles.

April 17, 2022 - Medium ruby colour. Medium and developing nose with ripe wild raspberry, ripe black cherry, forest floor, mushrooms, vanilla, black pepper and violet. Medium (+) taste of wild ripe raspberry, ripe black cherry, forest floor, vanilla, wet leaves licorice, mushrooms and black pepper. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium (-) tannins. Medium body. A very good and well matured Mercurey 1er Cru that could easily be mistaken for a more expensive Burgundy Pinot Noir. Needed an hour to open.
