April 21, 2021 - Nowhere near its peak. A very big Merlot with characteristic Napa dustiness. Deep lush persistent nose. Nice mouthfeel. Berries, earth, and stone. Needs a few more years in the cellar, and then you might have a 95 point wine.

January 5, 2021 - Epic wine. Cassis, black cherry, and blueberry aromas are imbued with conifer, ash, and smoke. Long, powerful, and structured, the palate is immersed in layers and textures of flavors, density, and complexity. This is blockbuster material but its tannic grip is unyielding right now, even after 4+ hours of air. It has plenty of stuffing to go the distance but I wouldn't touch it for another 5-7 years.
