Community Tasting Notes 5

July 30, 2021 - Well balanced. Good from opening to 7 hours later. Lots of dark cherry fruit, fine tannins and nice acidity.

May 31, 2021 - Big and bold but balanced. A fruit bomb. But a very tasty one. I thought it might become a bit over the top after the first few sips but it never did.

    Very enjoyable

November 1, 2020 - Solid Red fruit core, raspberry and cherry. Coffee and a bit of a herbaceous note buried in it. Some ethanol heat. Tannins are fine. Fair balance. Should be good for quite a few more years.

August 19, 2020 - Theoretically biodynamic since I was unable to obtain any unami sensation or purity from the varieties used to make this bottle: CS, Syrah and Carmenère. Boring, one-way and predictable. Heavy on the palate while the earthy notes (perhaps someone was not very clear about how to reflect the "terroir" in the wine ...) predominate over the fruit on the nose. By Álvaro Espinoza by the way.

October 7, 2018 - Drank at the winery and also dinner following evening. A lot of love and care goes into the making and it shows. 48% Carmenere, 36%Cab Sav and 16% Syrah. Lovely texture softness to the wine belies the blend and young age of many of the vines. Real surprise.
