April 5, 2024 - Tasty Barolo that drinks well young! Should improve with more age.

April 6, 2023 - Sight: Clear, medium ruby with hints of garnet on the rim.
Nose: Clean, pronounced aromas of red cherries, strawberries, and raspberries interwoven with secondary notes of roses, violets, and tertiary notes of leather and tobacco.
Palate: Dry, high acidity, high tannins, and medium alcohol. Medium-bodied with pronounced flavors of red fruit and floral notes, complemented by secondary and tertiary flavors of leather, tobacco, and earth. The finish is long, with lingering notes of red fruit, spice, and tobacco.
Conclusion: This is a well-structured and complex wine with great aging potential.

June 5, 2021 - From 75cl, DIAM30 closure (seems appropriate), decanted 1 hour. Now I understand why previous CT TNs are so short and uninformative (references to "perfume" and "aromatics" are cute, but might be more convincing were there a single indication of what exactly the taster claimed to have identified). Sure, this sort of smells like a dark red wine; the entry is surprisingly sweet; the mid-palate shows juniper berry, liquorice and clove action; rough grippy tannins on the finish finally make it abundantly clear that this is a big young Barolo with a hairy chest and overactive sweat glands. Drinkable now, but I think it's a crime to open this closed-down, burly wine now or in the next few years: its best days surely lie well ahead. 2025+(+)? 89-90P
