June 2, 2021 - Sample from J. Tasted blind. Drank in Grassl 1855.
Appearance deep intensity, ruby colour going garnet. Fine sediments. Legs.
Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberries, black cherries, tobacco, grilled herbs, chocolate earth. Developed.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol, smooth fine high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of chocolate earth, leather, cassis, blackcurrant, blackberries, black cherries, tobacco. Long smoky tobacco + chcocolatey finish.
Very good quality. Evidently quite ripe and could pass off for an aged New World Cab. Time to drink up.

May 6, 2020 - Cellaraid Discovery Box; 5/19/2017-5/26/2021 (Delivered to Home): Deep ruby core, with browning and fading edges, and thick legs. Blackberry, and grassy herby aromas, as well as a bit of purple flowers, and old leather. Some acids while tannins mostly resolved, a big alcohol punchy hit, and the blackberry flavours seem ripe, as well as significant blast of coffee grounds and cocoa, then rosemary, nutmeg, and meat stew. Finished strongly with a good length of the chocolates and spices. Can see significant oaking involved. Impressive!

April 7, 2019 - Cellaraid Discovery Box; 5/19/2017-5/26/2021 (Delivered to Home): Some elderflowers, grass and cassis on nose, and the florals and cassis are also apparent on the palate, along with pencil shavings, soy, and roast meat

September 28, 2017 - Attractive aroma of black fruits, spice and cedar. Fully matured, fruits still holding well.
