  January 15, 2024 - Opaque rusty bowl fading at the rim. Ripe fruits, cedar, plums on the nose. Palate is ripe blackberries, raspberries, cooked plums, faint spices, a little vanilla. Medium plus tannins, medium acidity. Not a traditionally smooth Amarone, but not bad for what it is. The tannins tell me it could age some more so that might even out the flavors a bit.

  April 1, 2023 - A bit young yet but really nice, decanted. Notes of dark fruit, a bit of sweetness in the spice, along with a touch of fennel. Lovely finish.

  November 2, 2022 - One-hour decant through a screened and aerating funnel. No aromas during decant. No sediment observed. After resting: prune, vanilla, and allspice. In the mouth, wine was smooth, but, frankly, not very Amarone-like, simple wine with prune, vanilla, and some tobacco on the finish. Nothing to write home about.
