May 17, 2024 - 90-minute double decant. Very deep dark magenta core, with more faded ruby color outside. Mushroom, milk chocolate, blackberry, cassis, waffle cone, and subtle candy corn. Smooth , dry palate. Full tannins on the longish finish.
This was the surprising WOTN at our monthly supper club. It’s definitely drinking at its peak for my palate. Excellent QPR here. -

January 31, 2024 - Slow ox’d overnight. Deep dark magenta color (with little to no signs of age). Blackberry Fruit Roll-up, brown sugar, and subtle chocolate. Very dry, plush palate. Firm, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.
This was nice, but would have been better with a one hour traditional decant. The fruit comes off as a bit stewed. Nice QPR nonetheless.1 person found this helpful Comments (1) -

January 28, 2024 - 14.8% ABV, a little higher than I normally enjoy.
Plum, dark cherry, blackberry, dark chocolate, pencil lead. Great structure, can hold for 5+ years easily. -

November 23, 2023 - Beautiful nose, nice but not overpowering fruit. Solid tannins and consistent flavor from first sip through back end swallow.
