March 20, 2024 - Arrow & Branch winemaker dinner at Murphy's (Atlanta, GA): A&B winemaker dinner @ Murphy's in Atlanta. From Mag. PNP. Paired with dessert (camembert mousse). Great pairing and great BDX left bank inspired wine! This is A&B's entry level wine. Brad - heavypourwine.com

February 7, 2023 - 2023 Napa; 2/5/2023-2/9/2023 (Napa with a connection in Houston): 2015 Black Label - the Black Label never disappoints my palate and the streak continued. More fruit forward than the 2015 Right Bank (as expected) but also a bit more structure carrying everything along. I preferred this ‘15 over the ‘15 Right Bank. Some bricking. A touch of spice and heat on the back end appeared as the wine warmed.

March 8, 2021 - Three hour decant. Super deep magenta color. Boysenberry, raspberry, lilac, pink peppercorn, baking spice, light caramel, and cola on the complex, feminine nose. Smooth, dry, bright fruited palate, with chalky acidity. Firm, full tannins on the long finish.

The nose is terrific, but somewhat delicate (or diminutive). There is room for improvement in the coming year or two.

June 16, 2020 - Five hour decant. Very deep dark magenta color. Mulberry, cocoa, lilac and condensed sweetened milk on the feminine nose. Very smooth, dry, supple palate, with great acidity. Firm tannins on the longish finish.

February 9, 2019 - This is the best vintage so far of this wine that I have tasted. Aromas of blueberries, blackberries, spice box and crushed white flowers. Medium bodied but fairly rich on the pallet with expressive and nicely concentrated mostly blue fruit, this is really round and easily approachable, showing wonderful layering and purity. It is showy but not heavy and displays no hard edges. There is good tannic backbone build in here for medium term aging. Nice finish.
