September 18, 2014 - Very different than most ww syrahs but not in a bad way. Big fruit. Age is showing nicely but has a couple years of good life left for sure. Very fun wine and sad to see the last 04 go

April 20, 2012 - Still delicious, even though probably too much alcohol. Time to drink though. Nice dark berries, still some fruit left.

August 12, 2011 - Still has character and complexity--a very nice wine to sip (all the better with skirt steak like we had).

September 28, 2010 - Not decanted and practically gone before it could get air (split six ways). A big surprise. Quite understated and could pass for having less alcohol than the 16.1 on the bottle. Blackberry, raspberry and oak notes are delicious and balanced with other subtle hints coming in across the palate and finish.

May 16, 2010 - My palate has definately changed over the past 2 years. I know that I really liked this wine when it was purchased. Today I find it hot, very high in alcohol. Good fruit, but flavors seemed to be driven by oak...I think if I were eating a juicy steak with a heavy reduction sauce it would be fine. I really want to like this wine, but I am really dissappointed....
