May 2, 2021 - Rosehip tea in color with the fragrance of a cigar store with its array of tobaccos and cedar humidors with a whiff of strawberry and smoke. Light in weight, with elegant, soft, refined textures and a smoky, bright red fruits, soft, silky finish. Perhaps it was a decade past its best days, but it was still quite a treat.

August 5, 2020 - Floral and aromatic. Notes of bacon fat, blackcurrant compote, sous bois. Silky, very fine tannins, elegant and not showing its age.

January 2, 2014 - Bottle was high shoulder and the cork was sealed with wax. The cork broke but we managed to take out the second part in one piece. The wine was decanted for 3 hours. The colour was surprisingly dark red with only a hint of brownish. On the bouquet mushrooms and wood dominated, the palate was powerful with still present tannins. For the age, it surprisingly showed also a hint of red currant and herbs. Mid to long finish. This was a beautiful bottle. I wish, I had one more bottle.

March 6, 2009 - It's a remarkably vibrant, bright colour that's far more youthful than it should be. What a glorious nose! It's difficult to write a note on the nose, as it's changing all the time. A lovely savoury character. Pure hedonism in a glass on the nose.
Thank heavens it doesn't disappoint on the palate: really lovely and mature. Very gentle and restrained, with some sweetness, perhaps from a touch of VA. Gravelly galangal notes. The palate doesn't quite live up to the nose, but it is a superb wine.
