September 29, 2023 - Decanted, blind. Haunting purple red fruit and whole cluster aromatics, so floral, penetrating yet dimensional. Called Bizot, but even better than usual village weight. Keeps developing throughout the night with even higher definition. 94-95

April 28, 2023 - Phenomenal tasting with the 2015 Tete de Ponts and the 2015 Jeannot, in ascending order.

12% ABV. PNP into Spiegelau Burgundy glass and Rona Burgundy glass side by side (“No” day): Pale ruby to the eyes.

Hard to describe how perfectly integrated and with the lack of a better word, “natural” this wine is. Layered with all the great bouquet of the best Burgundian rouges like fine smoke, potpourri, dried herbs and sweet spices, then a wide spectrum of wild berry and cherry notes from blue, dark red and black colored editions.

The palate is simply quite heavenly and a clear step up of finesse, definition and complexity of the Tete de Ponts. But what really sets this wine apart is its ‘zen’ like integration that makes this an effortless wine to glide through one’s tougue, while the finish lasts for an astounding amount of time.

Had I ever tasted a more ‘complex’ wine? Probably yes. But had I ever tasted a more well-integrated and ‘tasty’ wine? Probably not. 97 points easy this is indeed.

P.S. Be mindful about the order of the tasting - Tete de Ponts is already amazing but one would have a tough time once you started tasting the Jeannot…
