July 24, 2021 - The wine was in great condition. There was still fruit on the profile and wasn’t overly funky at all. The wine should definitely be drunk now. It won’t benefit with any additional aging.

October 15, 2019 - Old and stewed. Old fashioned Burg, which means not very good.

March 12, 2014 - Dinner at Cafe Lyon: Herbal and beetroot aromas. Acidity stands out on the palate. May just need more time but at this stage it wasn't showing especially well.

June 2, 2010 - Thought this was going to be disappointing upon initial opening, but that quickly blew off. Strawberry, cucumber, damp earth, well-integrated oak. Nice balance.

May 3, 2010 - Terroir-istes International - France, Burgundy, Corton Red (Rodwell House): Medium ruby colour, the nose is expressive with bagfuls of red cherry, earth, mushroom and blood/iron.
The palate shows an intense, tight chalky acidity with sour cherry, mineral and a slightly herbal, almost green note. Elegant, the tannins have that chalkiness and rigidity that build to an austere finish, whilst the back palate seems to morph to herbaceousness and vegetal characters. Overall, I warmed to the wine as it had complexity and freshness that gave the wine plenty of interest. a serious wine that needed some contemplation.
