  June 4, 2023 - Generously shared by George in the campo. Fully intact. Everything in balance. Not as much sauvage as some other Cdps (Pegau, etc.). Lots of dark fruit, still vibrant. If anything was missing it was a touch of acidity. Beautiful, luxurious and elegant Cdp. Definitely in its prime drinking window. I don't see benefit of further aging, but still holding strong.

  July 11, 2018 - It's in a fantastic plateau. Took two hours of interesting complex evolution to become pure fruit of honey and cherry.
  It's color hardly showed any age at all displaying gorgeous ruby gemstone with a small edge of lovely orange.
  It's nose started with some funk, prunes, raisins changed to cherry tar with honey hints. Eventually it morphed and stayed plums, cherry with that honey aroma.
  It was excellent on the palate with prunes, herbs of hot climate, barn, tar, sun scorched rocks, spice and mineral finish that lasted. Every sip was different for about two hours then rested at pure fruit with a delightful clover honey.

  October 5, 2014 - The wine was popped, decanted for 2 hours and poured a maroonish purple with an obvious oxidized orange hue. It poured with great long dregs, as I expected from the 13.5% ABV. On the nose, there was a little funk and it honestly smelt more like a mature Bordeaux rather than a CdP. The nose was masculine and rustic, yielding a moderately concentrated bouquet of potpurri, preserved plums, cherries, stone fruits and dill. I could not find the charm and opulence of CdP on the nose, as the acidity was rather apparent and muted the tertiary notes. On the palate, the tannins were slightly abrasive even though it provided the requisite body for the wine. Alcohol was strong and hit the palate first. Next came a melange of forest floor, pepper, mulch. The fruit was no longer apparent and unsurprisingly so, the wine did not have much acidity. The wine might have seen better days but I definitely have had better CdP's before.
