December 4, 2023 - 13.5% alcohol. Very short cork of pretty good quality. Opened 20mn ahead to check for possible reduction. Medium colour, quite youthful with some thinning at the rim.
The nose has good complexity with aromas ranging from red fruit (including strawberry, fleetingly) to black olive. Liquorice and more olive in the mouth which has vg balance and perfect acidity. There is elegance here.
A very successful wine certainly, and spectacularly so given its modest origin; however current prices are becoming ridiculous.
PS: comparing with my note from two years ago, I see that the wine came out a lot better today. -

June 17, 2023 - Wow. Cellar temp pop and pour on a hot day. Doesn’t get much better.
