May 3, 2024 - From a half bottle, the first coravin pour was very mild and uninteresting with nothing special going on. But today, a month later, what a change! Generally a little air gets in with Coravin no matter how careful you are, but with young Bordeaux, it's like giving it a bit of an accelerated aging curve, and more delicate than a full decant. Today the nose is singing with complex pipe tobacco, herbs, what I guess are stem notes (never experienced it in Bordeaux), and bold fruit. The unique approach to Bordeaux wine making really shows, and the result is something very exotic which is shocking after an earlier glass of 2020 Palmer (very vanilla by comparison).

I really am enjoying this but consist with prior reports, a decant will be necessary to get the full experience at this point.

March 13, 2024 - The bottle was opened yesterday and double decanted 5 hours prior to start drinking. In my opinion this was not enough. Very shy nose with a better palate showing great acidity, tannins and spiciness. Day two a different story. The wine is ready for business showing beautiful aromas of red and blue fruits, licorice, spices and stems. I think the wine needs still 3 to 5 years. Very nice, 93+++.

October 15, 2023 - first bottle from a five bottle lot purchased at auction recently. Very individualistic style, 55% Cabernet Franc and 100% whole cluster. I must say that I like the approach and the results. Pure, grippy, lifted, spicy and vegetal, very good length.

September 25, 2023 - Deep color. The nose shows aromas of sexy oak, ripe berries, pencil shavings, flowers, and a hint of herbs. This is full bodied on the palate with excellent concentration and excellent class. The long finish features sophisticated tannins.
