April 17, 2024 - This needs at least 30 minutes in the glass or decanter to open up. Similar to my last tasting note on 10/23. Young, but approachable. Picking up a savory note on the finish. A good value Brunello.

April 1, 2024 - Light red color with a slight amount of sediment. On nose, sweet/sour cherry with tomato paste and tobacco. On palate, full body, medium tannins, high acidity and long finish. Flavor relatively consistent with palate although fruit slightly oxidized. Fruit is more oxidized than I would have expected at 9 years. 92+/-

My wife thought Alpton's note was most descriptive: "It opens with dried herbs, licorice root, and allspice., along with shy notes of black cherry. Light with firm tannin, juicy black cherry in the mid and a dusty and spicy finish."
