October 29, 2022 - Mondavi's 2015 Fumé Blanc To-Kalon I Block has found balance in the three years since my last bottle but I am unsure I enjoy it more. Peach, orange peel, and ripe melon with an overlay of spice. Plushly textured but kept lively with crisp acidity. A unique wine.

October 16, 2022 - A 260 case production of 70 year old sauv blanc grapes from To-Kalon vineyard. Solid depth and complexity. Unmistakably new world and a crowd pleaser. Enjoyed poolside with grilled salmon. These have the structure to go for another 5 plus years but the fruit is beginning to fade. These are in their prime and should be consumed within a few years to capture the beautiful tropical fruit.

March 28, 2021 - We love the I Block Fume Blanc, but have always drank the wine much younger. This wine was released 3 years ago.
It is certainly age-worthy, and of small interest to see how it has evolved. But, at least to our tastes, the mellowing of the wine caused it to lose some of its distinctiveness that makes the I-Block such a stand-alone bottle of wine. We will make it a point to drink it younger.

October 13, 2020 - outstanding. The best Mondavi has to offer.

May 21, 2019 - Lemon peel, melon, grapefruit and lemon peel flavors. Bone dry with bracing acidity. Lacks the oily mouthfeel of the 2014 vintage. Quite age-worthy.
