April 29, 2016 - Past it's prime but still pretty good.
Somewhat muted nose of red fruit. Cherry followed by some spice with a medium finish. Bright acidity balanced out to give a pretty smooth finish. There was a layer of earth in there also. All in all pretty good.

April 17, 2010 - The fruit in this has diminished to the point where the oak totally dominates both the aroma and palate. Disappointing.

November 6, 2007 - The fact that I still daydream about this wine makes me think this merits a higher rating than first given...

June 21, 2007 - Delicious stuff. Outstanding elegance and balance. Sweet fruit balanced by subtle tannins with flavors of mushroom, lavender, spice, tea. So elegant and still very intersting. Almost reminds me of a mixure between high end Willamette and a grand cru burgundy. One of the best pinot noirs 've had in a while. Much better than most Domaine Serene stuff, maybe not the Grace vineyard.

December 10, 2005 - Decanted for 1 1/2 hours and compared vs. bottle open for same amount vs. 1/2 glass for same timeframe. Decanting definately was much more refined and smooth. This wine still could use a bit more time in the bottle, maybe 2 years at most, to show a bit more complexity. Still, shows nicely, very soft and a good solid finish. Good at the $43.99 sale price, but not at the $75 release price.
