October 6, 2019 - Reviewed 90 minutes in to decant. So I’ve been questioning my whole yearly allocation of these Orin Swift club member wines. This one, well this is why I became a member. Deep opaque purple. Nose of blackberries, cedar, graphite and pencil lead. Taste is similar with cocoa notes. Ultra smooth mouth feel with great balance of tannins and acidity. Full bodied. Substantial improvement from last bottle. Solid 94.

July 27, 2019 - 5 hour decant before pouring and then drank over several hours given past experience. Jammy, high in alcohol, simple, rough tannins, clumsy oak. Just not a lot to like here. If you are the type of person who boasts about how hot you like your hot sauce or how bitter an IPA you can tolerate, I guess you might find some thing redeeming here.
