September 15, 2023 - A second bottle opened today.
Simliar details, excellent cork and similar tasting profile to previous tasting note, however, this example was a little more 'alive' and robust.
Bottle variation/cellaring history could be in play, as was sourced from auction.
Overall, very pleasant experience. -

February 17, 2023 - Cork was in excellent condition. Deep ruby with slight bricking to edges.
Nose is complex. Flowers, leather, cedar, faint menthol, asian spice, coffee and tobacco.
Palate was smooooth and complex. Fruit is beginning to fade a little. Tannins are soft and acidity is keeping the wine fresh.
This particular bottle was by no means 'past' but showing the signs that it was enjoying a healthy retirement. -
