September 25, 2020 - Hawkes Bay Certificate Lesson (Shanghai): Medium lemon color, lots of green nose and some parsley. The citrus and passion fruit flavors are numerous. The wine is so crispy with a high acidity and light body, but few lees can be found.
The complexity is fair, but the finish and intensity are great. But the unripe green scent somehow gives some unenjoyable feelings. -

91 on potential, 90 on the day.
Fruit is from EH's Gimblett Gravels vineyard, inland Hawke's Bay.
N....interesting
T.....L-Med body, interesting SBlanc, nice and rounded HB tropicals, some power here, very easy drinking without being boring, well-made wine, long finish.
Rec RP £16.50.....yip, worth that. -
