January 15, 2022 - Day 1 - Typical grenache blanc character + something more. Nose - starts with typical pear and apple note with just a hint of citrus and nuttiness, finishes with intense fragrant woodiness of cypress and sandalwood, makes me feel like I’m taking a bath with good aromatic bath salt. Palate - medium+ amount of very fine powdery acidity, initially goes up a little, and then gradually fades out into buttery salinity, overall gentle, mild, and clean. No honeyed weight or acidic edge unlike chenin blanc although aromatically similar, all is about soft/puffy comforter-ish texture and relaxing aroma. 5 years of age but still tastes fresh - good structure and balance.
(Personal note - perfect recovery wine after I was totally knocked out by lingering Covid booster reaction.)

Day 2 - gaining further edge of a lot of dill (Oz Clarke, you were right in “Grapes & Wines” book about Grenache Blanc), saltiness, and oily richness of acidity. 90-91.

October 11, 2020 - Delicious. Lovely. Refreshing. Well done. Good price point for quality.

    Appearance - clear, medium straw

Nose - medium intensity. Some alcohol burn as it has gotten more air. Lovely notes. Ripe apple, nice sweet and sour, getting sweet almond paste, lemon curd, grapefruit and pith.

Palate - lovely balance, fruits and almond nut paste. Alcohol feels medium plus. Feeling the effects and a bit of the burn in the throat. Finish is medium plus. It tastes buttery and almond paste (not a note I typically use and having fun w it). It feels like you have just eaten an almond filled pastry! Acidity is medium. Wine tastes vibrant and alive. Well balanced. What is standing out, nice ripe fruit, good acidity, good mouth feel, clean and pure on palate, and this almond paste thing that intrigues my sense. I’m craving a pastry.

Fun wine. Not a varietal I know much about. Kudos to the makers.

October 17, 2018 - Two Shepherds Tasting (Primrose - Washington, DC): A fun aromatic mix of fresh tennis balls, sea salt and lemon curd. Punchy an salty on the palate but a creamy texture, too. Bright, vibrant, lemons, sea salt. Crisp, elegant, complex, a lovely Grenache Blanc.

May 23, 2018 - A Big Mix at Kenwood (The Kenwood, Mpls, MN): Small pour. Dusty palate, fairly light with some tangy citrus and oyster shell minerals. Pretty tasty.
