January 6, 2024 - Rich, fruit, spices, floral, earthy, seductive, long. Great wine.

February 13, 2023 - Typical syrah-nose but also some sophisticated notes from the blend. Good clear fuit and great balance. It is still quite young but just so drinkable now.

April 26, 2019 - Tasted the Clos de Cistes 08 and the Leone 08 at the same time.
    93p.

The Leone was packed with flavours of plum, dark fruits, earthy elements, truffle and meat.
Tannings were excellent, great balance, rich, powerful and long length.
This wine easily measures up to some of Bordeaux grand cru's.

I will acquire more of this.

November 18, 2018 - Blend of 85% Syrah with 15% Mourvedre. Reveals pronounced aromas of mulberry and damson plum leading the way to undertones of game and earth. Rich and broad with grainy tannins. So voluptuous and vigorous that it is hard to believe this is ten years' old.

November 18, 2018 - Tasted after 2008 Clos des Cistes. A little less expressive in comparison, more powerful - darker fruit, spices, herbs, minerality, cured meat. More structured on the palate, powerful tannins, high acidity, very good length. More backward then Clos des Cistes. Hold. 91-92+(+)
