  March 1, 2024 - Surprisingly good! Almost black color, dark fruit (blackberry) and leather in the nose, structured and grippy mouthfeel. Not overly complex, maybe, but definitely worth the price!

  October 15, 2023 - Touriga Nacional comprises 60% of the blend with equal parts Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz.
  
  Deep and rich, bold and savory. With flavors of dried blackberry, blueberry, black olives, chocolate-covered cherries, sweet tobacco, toasted cedar, forest floor, and wet leaves, the wine delivers great complexity while retaining its freshness and drinking well above its price point.
  
  This could cellar for a few more years. However, I think it's right where it should be.

  January 1, 2023 - My brother double-blinded me on this. I was immediately in the old world with this, due to the acid-driven, dry presentation and lack of a sweet core of fruit. Was clearly at the "table wine" level, as it did not have any power and very little depth of fruit. I eliminated Italy, as it was not reminding me of Sangiovese or any of the Piemontese red varieties. Was considering France, but clearly did not the ripe fruit presence of a Cote-du-Rhone. Bordeaux? Low-level right bank maybe? Wasn't taking me there, as the flavor profile was not right. Spain maybe? Wasn't bold enough for the typical bottlings found in the states. My brother has been on a Portugal kick lately, so I figured that is what it was, so I guessed Touriga Nacional/Touriga Franca blend from the Douro, 2017 vintage, $15 price point. I really don't intimately know the flavor profiles of these varieties, so it was really just an educated guess. My brother was amazed.
