  December 26, 2020 - I worry that since 2015 Marco de Bartoli started to work in a different way with barrels. Grappoli is always a good wine with very nice freshness and longevity but it is losing something in the nose pleasure.

  November 3, 2020 - From second-day glass. I was about to tuck in to a bit of squid and spinach stew as I started sniffing this, but definitely a fresh squid note, with also rain and rocks, and some grapes. It was a second-day glass because the proprietress had been overwhelmed by the acid upon opening, but now it was nicely lively and zesty, with a palate of soft, juicy lemons and rain on rocks, hints of herb and white flowers. Lot of flavor here, and alcohol at 12%. Very good (and a terrific match with the squid stew).

  February 3, 2020 - I enjoyed the very good freshness of the wine but I missed the wet stone flavour in the nose and lacked of some complexity of previous vintages, not sure if this is a new approach of making this wine of Marco de Bartoli but it is the 2nd bottle I open of this vintage and somehow I´m missing something..
