December 30, 2007 - Creosote cherries on the nose, takes a while for the creosote to begin to blow off. Cherries upfront, with thin midpalate of robitussin and alcohol on the finish.

November 10, 2007 - Served to four Frenchmen. Offered one thousand Euros if they could guess appellation. They couldn't even guess Rhone varieties. But enjoyed it well enough.

February 12, 2007 - Wine Tasting Dinner: Adobe Guadalupe's 2003 & 2004 (Monterrey, Mexico): Red blend of Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault, Viogner and Tempranillo.

This wine was borderline flawed. The nose had a dominant (and un bearable) rotten flower and tar aroma (stink?). Over acidified and salty. I am incredibly surprised that this was the wine maker's favorite wine of the night. Different strokes for every one I guess.
