Fint utvecklad doft med plommon, björnbär, blåbär, ek, choklad, dill och vanilj. Medelfyllig, fin, fruktig och samtidigt fatig smak med björnbär, blåbär, choklad, dill och vanilj. Rioja i modern stil. 13,5 %. -

April 9, 2022 - Good colour and typical nose. The usual dry (soft) tannin character on the palate with gentle vanilla and spice. Excellent fruit (none of the super-dry austerity of old-style Rioja) making it undemanding and an almost ‘easy drinking’ wine. To be honest, it did not have the depth and complexity of some earlier vintages. Not a great Reserva but pretty good value when on special offer. Decent balance and length.
Much better given a few hours after opening Good with duck in an orange sauce.
A sample tasted next day showed good, juicy, fruit but not much complexity. -
