  May 7, 2024 - Lovely wine. A little hot on the nose but didn’t notice it on the palate. Dark, rich, dry. Blackberry, leather, baking spices. Structured but silky tannins. Medium high acid. Lingering finish. Not showing any serious signs of aging. I’ve got several other bottles. Will probably last at least 2 to 3 more years. Drinking nicely now.

  On the palate, the wine unfolds with blackberry and plum flavors, complemented by velvety tannins and a balanced touch of oak. A hint of savory herbs adds complexity to the overall taste. The finish is warm and enduring, leaving a lasting impression.
  
  This Les Champauvins is approachable now but also has the potential to age gracefully for 3-5 more years. It's a versatile choice, offering both immediate enjoyment and the promise of evolving complexity with a bit of patience.   July 20, 2023 - It feels like this has improved over time, now showing well. Quite balanced with more richness and expression than I expect from the price. Such a good bargain at the $20 or so plus tax I paid four years ago.
