April 28, 2024 - L4. I really enjoyed this wine, but it is not elegant. It is in-your-face black fruit and tar. Drank with a 1990 Margaux and the contrast was fascinating. The latter was so floral and elegant. MPD at Bisato.

April 18, 2024 - Not sure what was up to with us tonight. Bottle was in great shape with base neck fill. A serious chemical note on the nose faded after about an hour. But the palate had a strange VA quality.

April 9, 2024 - A wine that punches way above its weight…wow! Stacked up side by side with an 82 Mouton, 82 Latour, and an 82 Lafite, I have to say this was barely edged out by the Lafite and Latour. The Lafite carried an elegance that continued to shine as time went on, but the reality is that we were splitting hairs and for the price differential, this is hands down the best wine by a mile. A truly impressive performance.

(Lynch Bages) This showed fantastically. Just pedal to the medal old-school Bordeaux love in a bottle. Great freshness and delineations. Loads of pencil lead, tobacco and wild flowers. Tremendous minerality and precision. Very well made wine.
